Would you elaborate on the process of obtaining the permits? Since I last posted this message I have discussed this matter with individuals on the law enforcment side who say differently. If you would like, please e-mail me.

Thanks,

: : Hello,

: : I am considering moving to Texas. My father lives in the Austin area. My reptile collection mainly consists of venomous snakes. I am assuming that Austin, TX has laws prohibiting the keeping of venomous reptiles w/in the city limits. Is it possible to obtain a permit in the City? I thought I would check here and see if someone could offer me some info about the neighboring towns or cities? Any info is greatly appreciated.

: : Thanks,

: : Sean

: You are allowed to keep them in city limits, but you need to get a non-game wildlife permit of you have any native species.
