Austin herp laws

There is a 50/50 chance i am moving to Austin soon, so could ya'll point me in the right direction to find out about the ocal herp laws? I know about the Texas state wide ones (permits for non dangerous snakes-gag!), but iffn I could find out about Austins it would be nice (I need to know if I can mention my pets, LOL)
