I am doing some research on rattlesnakes and I have a few books that say there are Crotalus ruber in Los Angeles County. There is a old record for one found near Whittier. If these snakes are still in Los Angeles County, they would be in the southeast corner in the Puente Hills or San Jose Hills. These hills are on the edge of the Santa Ana Mountains in Orange County which have Crotalus ruber. Has anyone heard of Crotalus ruber in Los Angeles County? Thanks for any information. Bob Hadady
