In Reply to: Agkistrodon contortrix.... But which one?! posted by mkv on February 14, 2003 at 14:05:17:
I think they are one 2 posibilities. They are either really pretty Agkistrodon contortrix pictagaster (Trans Pecos Copperheads) or intergrade contotrix/pictagaster. A few people were breeding these very beautiful yet unatural intergrades a few years back and many of the adults I have seen were extreamly similar to yours. The one closet to the camera definately appears to be one of these intergrades.
I had a baby intergrade for awhile(gave it to a freind) and the little snapper also looked very similar. He was hands down the best looking copperhead I had ever owned!
Enjoy them,
Jeremy
:I recived 1.1 Agkistrodon contortrix yesterday.
:The last owner told me that they were Agkistrodon contortrix contortrix but I have my doubts. I think they are Agkistrodon contortrix laticinctus or even hybrid!(?)

:Anyone of you guys know what kind they are?
:Thanks!
