:I was relatively sure that my C. atrox was a female based on its tail shape (very distinct beginning to the tail). However, a guy at a show told me that they could be sexed by counting the black rings on their tails. 3 rings for a female, 4 to 5 for a male. This sounded vaguely plausible to me, so I was wondering if their was any truth to it. Based on this, my snake is male, with 4 rings. I'd rather not probe the snake if sexing is that easy, obviously! Thanks for your time.
