:Hello,
:We noticed today that Jim Harrison was quoted a little while ago as making a statement that C. horridus in NC can have the type A neurotoxic venom. We would just like to point out that the person must have misunderstood Jim. Type A timbers are in SC and Georgia, not NC. In the unpublished testing of our timbers from Jasper Co., SC, 20 animals tested as having neurotoxic components in their venom. Also, this venom is similar to Mojave toxin but not identical.
:Thanks,
:KY Reptile Zoo
