Life is funny. A friend of mine was trying to GIVE me a rattlesnake since he didn't want to keep it any more. So, I say "let me get back to you on that" and proceed to do hours and hours of research to see if I even WANT to keep such a snake. After I decide that I really could handle keeping a venomous reptile, I call my friend back up.

Guess what? He's already given the snake to someone else!

Oh well. I guess now I'll be ready in case someone else tries to give me a hot....

Thanks for the advice, guys. I look forward to going herping with y'all in the spring!
