"what length lens did you use for that spectacular shot?"

I don't use real camera equipment. Too complicated for a simpleton like myself that has to get the shot and move on before my field boss (girlfriend) gets impatient. I recently got a Sony DSC-F707 and I've been experimenting with it as I learn what it is capable of. So far I'm pretty happy with it. The picture was taken at a 2048 x 1536 file size (roughly 3 megapixel)and then cropped and sharpened. I haven't even really begun to play with the 5 megapixel setting for fear of running out of storage space while in the field (52 shots on a 128 Meg card). The camera itself has a lense range equivelent to a 38mm-190mm lense (not including the digital zoom). The camera was set on auto so I have no idea what setting it selected.

"Just trying to figure out whether you are as nuts as yours truly ;-)"

Probably, but I like to think of it more like we're implementing a calculated knowledge based on the setting of the snake and our experience with them. It only looks nuts to those who don't think like we do. LOL.
