:I usually do not post on this forum, but I caught this guy last night and was pretty happy. He was about five and a half feet long and very defensive. He is the biggest snake I have encountered in this area (Southwest New Mexico). I took a few pictures and let him be on his way. He is the first Crotalid that I have handled that while being tailed struck up from hanging straight off the ground to my hand. The way he was moving you would of swore he was an Elapid, he had enough strength to come back over his own body very rapidly and stike at my face. Anyways, I thought he was a very pretty Western, hope you enjoy.
