:Yup, 20 or so looks about right. Looks to be a female. I generally probe anyway, just to be sure but with a low-end count you can be fairly certain.

I just looked at Klauber, who gives quite different scale counts for males and females, and with overlap between sexes (see post on venomous forum) - do your counts apply to a particular population, or are they a summary of variation in the species as a whole? Just curious.
