You are right about the size of this one, I suspect it is in the 30-36" range. I've only lived in OH for about a year, so I am no expert. From every indication (my experience, talking to others, DNR publications) it appears they are pretty scarce in OH. The remaining populations are scattered in the wilder parts of southern OH, in at least 6 counties according ot the DNR. I've seen three timbers here, all back in the spring.
