:Last year I had two little noses poke out of a couple of eggs, but they tucked themselves back in, and never came back out!
:The slices they made in the shells were large enough for them to get out of, but, after waiting a recommended 48 hours, I opened the slices a bit more and found both of these babies had died.
:One breeder told me that he routinely makes larger slices in the shells once he is sure he has seen a head poke out, and will sometimes actually slice the shell in half.
:What are your thoughts?
