I think someone described it before as "similar to green peppers." (I dunno, I don't like green peppers, hehe.)

On the Anerys, this is like deja vu. ;) I thought the same thing in 2000 when my first-ever clutches started pipping. (I think a lot of people do.)

But in '01 I hatched anerys and didn't expect them. Recognition was immediate as soon as the first anery pipped. You'll just know, especially in a mixed clutch. They have no hints of any color, only black/brown/white. If they have even a hint of "pinkishness" on the tip of the nose, they're normals, and you'll catch that. ;) (At least that's my experience with 6 whole clutches containing anerys, hehe.)

Oh, and I have to say, on behalf of those of us who had prior experience and went through a lot of effort to get early hatchlings this year, "NO FAIR!!!!" hehehehe
