The thing I've noticed is, if you pay attention, you can smell them pipping before you see them. A lot of times I can notice it by being in the same room. And every time I've definitely noticed it when opening the eggboxes (you cannot see the eggs inside my eggboxes, they're completely covered with moss)

Watch for that, it's pretty neat. :)
