I've heard females will lay sometimes even if they aren't bred, and they'd of course be duds. Hopefully someone who's had this happen with reply to help ya out here, all I know is that they CAN...
:Greetings. My corn cross, Annika, just shed yesterday. It has been less then 2 months since her previous shed, which was on more of a 3-4 month schedule. She has eaten twice since then, so she really hasnt grown too much. I have heard a lot about 'pre-lay sheds' and wonder if this is a possibility. I havent confirmed that Annika is female, but that was the general concensus from tail pics i posted here a while back. Anyway, on to the real question: Annika has never been bred. Will a female corn snake still lay eggs if it hasnt ever bred? Sometime in the next few weeks, is there a chance that i might find a cluch of slugs in the tank?
