Hi Duffy, mine is a Leusistic Tex Rat also. We got hime at a herp expo already grown so i don't know how old he is. but he is about 5 feet long. He is the sweetest most mild tempered snake we have. We have a corn and a king and a boa too. (And some lizards too.) He seems really healthy like I said, I just hear him breathe all the time. Well, thanx alot.

:We're glad that you're glad! Welcome. How long have you had the Texas Rat? You said he's grown...how big is he? Sounds like he's doing good in general. I have a yearling leucistic Texas Rat who's just getting over her "nasty" phase. She doesn't try to bite me anymore when I handle her, which is good, since she's growing fast. As mentioned below, there's a ratsnake forum...and your post won't get lost as fast there, since this here cornsnake forum seems to get lots of posts daily. See you around. Duffy

::I've been lookin' for a new herp board. I used to go to the Acme herp board, but it just disappeared one day. I was excited to happen across this one today.
::I do have a question too. I have a Texas Rat Snake. I am not sure how old he is, but he is grown. My question is.... when ever I am holding him, I can here him breathing. It's sorta like the little whistling sound that we make sometimes when we breath through are noses. Has anyone else ever noticed this about there snakes. I was worried when I first heard this, but he has always done this since we have owned him. He has been healthy since we have had him. What do y'all think?
