Amy's right when it comes to males. It really doesn't matter how big they are as long as they are willing to do the job.

At 1m long your female is probably ready to breed. Why don't you weigh her? I've read you should wait to breed females until they are at least 250 grams, 300 grams being the best weight.

As far as how big your male snake is. I wouldn't be concerned about what other's tell you. You are probably feeding it just fine. According to some local snake breeders, I tend to to over-feed my snakes, but according to a lot of the people on here, I under-feed my snakes. As long as your snake is not overly skinny or fat he is probably a good size.
