I grew up in Georgia. Spent my first 23 years there (and I plan to move back in a couple years; WITH my cornsnakes).
This is a page on the Georgia Department of Natural Resources website. It discusses the keeping and collection of native species.
Georgia law is quite screwy, especially compared to that of its neighboring and nearby states. Too many good-old-boys and not enough registered voters.
