Okay I just changed my substrate over from reptile bark to aspen last week. There is a 1 inch to 1.5 inch layer in the cage. I've checked the temps and there with all good. I realized my guy might burrow a bit, but he's dug in everymorning. He normally tries not to touch the ground and motors around on his branchs and vines. Now he's not using his aborial stuff and instead opting to move around between the glass bottom and the substrait. Is this normal or is he just being a little goof? I havn't seen him get in and out of the substate and I'm worried he will get stuck under there, plus there is a UTH. This morning I took out a pile near the middle of the cage to make it less thick there just in case (.25inch left). Should I be worried about him or is he fine? I used to have a bird snake now I have a gopher snake.
Thanks
Jeff Robertson
