:I've seen both males and females do this so It's not always a good indicator of gender. In my experience, when I've seen females do this, they weren't interested in breeding.

:Yes both males and females will twitch,but when i have seen the females twitch they were ready to breed,its kind of a forplay thing...All animals have there breeding rituals they go through,its very normal in snakes to twitch
