Interesting idea. I have a lot of mothers that should lay but on the bright side, I have a lot of computers! ; )

:As I posted earlier, today my amel laid a clutch of 17 eggs. Right now I have them set up in damp sphagnum moss in a shoebox, set on top of my computer. In between the top of the computer and the bottom of the shoebox is a piece of cardboard. The temp has been between 82 and 83, mostly 82, where the eggs are. The eggs were not clumped together, so they are laying in a single layer, so I don't think there is much of a vertical gradient. Does anyone have possible drawbacks to such a system? I was thinking it is similar to the on-top-of-refridgerator method, except that my computer is in my room and more easily accessible. I leave my computer on all the time, and the house is relatively warm, so if the power to the comp were to go out, the eggs would still be 76-78. I was planning on doing just room temperature incubation, but my mom's side of the family have been planning a week long cruise for around the end of July for my grandmother's 50th wedding anniversary, and I want plenty of time between hatching and the hectic pre-vacation time.
