Rick,
My charcoal once passed a complete, composed mouse skull too. Unlike yours, he had previously regurged the mouse's body.
My best guess was that the mouse was just a tad bit too big for him. In comparison to my other snakes he can't eat the larger meals that they do. He has had many meals, and three sheds, since then, so no worries on my part.
I'm not sure about your anery, but before my charcoal passed the skull he had a noticeable lump just before the vent. Was this the case with yours as well? Just curious; between yours and mine, I've not heard/read any mention of this happening too often. Thanks.
