what kind of corn is this....?

this corn was sold as a caramel corn, however i've never seen another that looks quite like this... this snake is a friend of mine's and i believe it's some kind of hybrid... it looks a lot more like a corn in this photo, but in person (or should that be in snake)--the eyes stand off the head farther than anything i've ever seen and the actual eyes are black and yellow... the belly has a black and white checker pattern with flecks of brown mixed into the black parts, and the top of the head of this snake almost looked like it had a dull greyish color when it was young, (like the baby bloodreds)--maybe i'm a nut, but it just doesn't look totally normal in person
