The UV light people refer to appears to be a normal fluorescent buld...which would be much better in a room you share with the lizards. Unless of course you still have all those cool black light poster on the wall. You can find a nice UVB light online. I believe I use a Reptisun 5.0...they cost about $19.00 for a small one. I then put it in a small under-the-cabinet light, which costs about $6.00 at Wal-Mart. To avoid this, you can possibly construct something out of a large rubbermaid container, which you could put outside for a few hours/day. Make sure all sides have ventilation...I had some small babies die from overheading, simply because I didn't have adequate ventilation.
