::Today i got my babies...1 male, 2 females. One is an aquaflame, all from paul mcintosh. Skittish at first, but i put my hand in there to put a rock down, and two of them climbed right on me. How old are the collareds (easterns) before they start showing their blues, especially the aquaflames>? and what about water...should i leave a bowl in there, give them veggies..? And one last thing-is there anything i can feed them besides small crickets right now? THanks

:Hi, Paul M is a good guy , very healthy lizards, :0) anyway you will notice the blue coming in with each shed it should get more blue, with my first aquaflame, soon after the orange bands left the blue started and just kept intensifing as the months went on, hard to put an exact age on when it will be all blue, as they don't fully mature until 3 years old. My male is 2 1/2 has had his turquoise blue for a long time but just this season started to get his yellow, so just keep watching, it's always a surprise ! :0) As far as water I do keep a shallow tera cotta saucer for water in at all times all of my collareds drink from dishes, but many drip drops by putting a few ice cubes on top of screen over the basking rock, and lizard drinks drips ! Up to you ! And your last question, I do give my guys veggies about once a week, small hunks of collard greens, shredded carrot, maybe dandiline greens or the flower also, some try them, some don't bother, if they don't than ya have your answer, I give mine all superworms, being babies you will have to get smaller mealies, supers, or waxies for awhile, but yes they usually like them too. Gotta post pics so we can see the little cricket crunchers ! LOL :0) Eve
