I suppose I didn't make this clear enough in my post but I DIDN'T release my collards because I "didn't think they were pretty enough" or anything like that. they could be the color of mud for all I care except that I THOUGHT that the loss of color meant that they were not doing well in captivity and were unhappy. they also were wild caught from my local area so I did not think that they would be harmed by being released back. Perhaps I erred. I will admit that freely. the only thing that I want you to realize here is that I did it because I thought my lizards whom I LOVED were suffering from being in captivity! You can believe that I am a terrible herper, or even a terrible human being as well, but I did want to clarify that.
