Get a box about 9"-12" square...I put my lizards in a sock, and rubberband the end (be careful not to get the tail involved in the rubberbanding). I nestle this sock in the center of the box, which has crumpled newspaper or papertoweling in it. I poke a few holes on all sides of the box...

Very important. Lable the box "LIVE LIZARDS" or "LIVE HARMLESS LIZARDS" In this size box, shipping express mail from the USPS will run you right about $15.00. If it is not properly labled, they will sometimes reject the package at the airport, because snakes/turtles are illegal to ship. So be sure you lable it correctly.
