than I would have a couple years ago on winter activity in chucks. I wish I really new what winter brought to these animals in and on the gulf. I would love to talk with Grismer but I really think he does not care for me because of my association with Montanucci. He had some not so nice things to say about him at the SW herp symposium and kind of blew me off when he heard I was freinds with Richard. I will contact Craig and try to get some info from him on winter activity in their(varius0 natural habitat(not at the museum). I think we do things the way we do in captivity with these animals because we cannot duplicate nature or should I say it is easier to do the hibernation thing this way than duplicating nature and hopefully it will serve the same purpose. Although I would not know what to do with the babies as I cannot get rid of them without getting the ok from the museum. I guess I will cross that bridge when and if I get to it. I just wanted you and your dad and all of the AZ gang that I really appreciate all the input and info you guys share with us on the forums. I have learned a lot from it. Thanks again. Tom
