From what I have seen here in Houston is that they ( adult chucks) quit eating by early Nov, quit pooping by mid Nov and continue to bask irregularly until Dec. We have had a lot of cool & cloudy days so even the babies are having a tough time ( they stay active anytime the weather is nice)--I have not even seen an adult in at least a month--which is unusual!! I usually would see adults any time it was sunny & over 55-60F. They (some) would lap at water trickling down rocks in winter but ignored food until late Feb. I have not seen a fresh, wet pile of Poo in a long time--- what a waste!!
Have a great & safe New Years
