Hi,
go to the link below. It has great info and pix, too! The first page is an overview and then go to the breeding, care and hatching pages. I think you will find all you need! Are you rearing them for fun or food? Yeah, the egg cases do look weird! They begin as a frothy mass and then harden to winter over with all the egg snug inside!

on another note...you may want ot start posting on the new board (see above) as most of us have migrated over there :)

:About a week ago I received my order from Nebraska Scientific of three clusters of praying

:mantis (they look like 3 big turds!). I was wondering how long until they hatch, and can I do

:anything to make them hatch faster? Right now I have them in a plastic container with a

:small screen on top, but should I be heating them? Please let me know. The instuctions

:only tell how to raise them, not how to hatch them!
