Today we finally gave Roan his first real plant. We had a little bit of difficulty finding organic soil, but it's in his cage and he absolutely loves it. BUT he won't stop eating the soil. He keeps shooting his tongue out at the pot and the soil in it. When he was out the last few times, he has been shooting his tongue out at anything that was unfamiliar to him. Like the shoot button on our camera and a little water spot on the dresser. He even shot his tongue out at my b/f's finger nail twice. In his cage he'll just shoot at random spots in the leaves. He's eating well. 20-30 1/2 inch crickets a day. Can all this soil hurt him? I'm glad its organic, but it just doesn't seem right for him to want to eat so much of it. We can't even get him to eat any fruits and vegetables.......
