At this age let them eat what they want. For females you'll need to start cutting back on their food at about 5 months so they don't start producing overly large egg masses. A cham that is too fat will have a completely round tail (when looked at in cross section near the base). A skinny cham's tail will look stringy with muscles. The correct shape should be oval from top to bottom, larger on the bottom.
