I would only free range it in a separate room so you can keep it away from hazards, but providing the high humidity it will want will be hard on your walls! Also, I'd only do this if you have a chance to pair it up with a mate. These chams are way too valuable (not just in $$ terms but in biological terms) to be mere pets. You will need to be ready to feed it occasional birds too.
