how much drinking water?

I have a male jackson's probably about 5-6 months old how often should he drink water? I am misting i have not yet made a dripper. They look so easy to make i can't see myself paying $20 for one at a pet store. Even if it has a cool sticker on it. But he drinks usually everday atleast one of the times i mist and probably drinks for a good 30sec to almost a minute. Does he need more?
Also, Do you think its safe for a cham to chill on a ganja weed? just kiddin
