Hi- You should fell safer getting a panther or for that matter, a chameleon from the breeder, then from the pet shop. I don't think a panther would be $50 anywhere, unless it has some problem with it or just plane butt ugly! Each panther locale has diffrent color marking with in the same local, and the better the chameleon looks, and bloodline the more you are going to pay! I purchased all my panther chameleons from online sources, and all were good. I am very picky about the bloodline, and buying from a pet shop, this is close to impossible to check! Check out the chameleon classifieds here on kingsnake, there is always some great looking panthers showing up, and good prices. When you pay, use a credit card, so if there is any problems, you can get help from your credit card company! Hope this helps!

:the panther chams at my local store are 400$ - how come on the net they are only 50$? i personnally feel more comfortable buying from a store, but the extra 350$ kinda makes me think if i am getting ripped or not - lemme know
