He had to be put down. He took a quick look and said it may have been a cancerous growth. But, I think it was just some kind of prolapse. Unfortunately he had to be put down though.
But, it wasn't too too bad. Kirby was a "runt" you might say. He and Jobu got in a fight in October, while I was in the hopital and unable to break it up, and he took a while to get better.
At least he wasn't lying in pain all weekend near death. That would have broken my heart even more. There was no way to fix it. He smelled dead before he was even put down (yes, very nausiating), but he was still jumping around. He even managed to maul my cricket tub he was in and get out onto my dresser, lol. He didn't suffer, and for that I am glad. :)
Thanks for your concern! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who worries about "just rodents" :)
