Hi Dennis:)

I have a litte ritual I do with Abby's lights. I leave her infared light on 24-7. And I have 2 other lights in the cage. One is a grow light for the ficus, and one is the uva/b light. At sunrise I turn on the light for the plant (because it is not as bright as the other). Then about an hour later I turn on her uva/b light. When the sun begins to go down I turn out both lights, because she is in the living room and gets light from the rest of the room. This simulates sun rise -- sun fall, if ya know what I mean. At 9 p.m. when my children go to bed the main light in the living room goes off, and I just keep a little lamp on across the room from her cage. I also water her in the morning before I turn on her light, this simulates dew on the plants. I am no expert, but I have raised Abby since she was 6 weeks old, and she is now 18 months old, and very healthy, and happy.

Hope this helps!
Karen:)
