Yes, it is possible. The best way is to cover the cham with a soft towel, and take a non-metal nail file to the tips (individually). Just take off the sharp point. Hold the toe and quickly sand down the point. We have several large males, and this is how we manage to keep from losing blood. :)

Just be careful - not too much!

:i was just wondering if you can clip veiled chameleons claws because my female's claws are getting biggish and very sharp.
