In captivity we've been running a 98% hatch rate and 99% "still alive" rate (for lack of a better term :) ) after 30 days on veileds. I saw in an email off a list the number "3 or 4" survive out of a clutch in the wild for veileds. I am unsure of the original source for this number but logically it seems accurate to keep the species alive and producing in the wild.
