i've heard my "pothos" referred to as philodendron - are they the same? thanks. just wondering.
No, Golden Pothos and Heart-Leaf Philodendron look similar to each other, but they're not the same plant. Heart-leaf philodendrons have flat, dark green leaves, while golden pothos has shinier, lighter colored leaves with golden marbling going through them.
There are lots of other different kinds of philodendrons and pothos too, but I think those are the ones that people usually get confused, because they look so similar. I can take pictures of my plants if it would help.
