I don't use any pet store gutload. The gutloads are often stale, nutritionally unbalanced, and were usually not designed for specific herps but to keep the crix basically alive for less $. I don't use those water bites either. If you gutload your insects at all well you won't need them so its a waste of $. Give the crix fresh fruit such as orange and green veggies instead. The best gutload around is a recipe on www.adcham.com, but it takes time and effort to make. A great quality "store bought" gutload that is designed for chams and works in conjunction with a dust is available at www.herpnutrition.com. You will have to select the formula for your species (lowland radiant is for sp like veileds and panthers while montane shade would be for higher humidity cool temp sp like deremensis or quads). The only thing I would add to the herpnutrition gutload is a dust of MinerAll about once a week for a growing baby.
