It's not exactly taboo but mixing locals deminshes the blood line i believe. It can happen in the wild but in the wild it's most likely not to happen to the extent it would in captivity. When you want a Nosey Be or Sambava that's what you want not a mix of the two locals. Just a personal opinion and it will vary prson to person..
