In Reply to: To the Vet? Or Not To The Vet? posted by corn_snake_123 on April 16, 2003 at 11:23:27:
The vet is a good idea in theory because we think they can always help and really they are the only choice. But my experience is that often a vet can be a death sentence because some rarely deal with reptiles. Were I live there a many vets but not one that will treat a reptile. it is a one hour drive for a vet that oficially deals with reptiles. Many will say sure let me see what i can do and fumble there way through a treatment. I have been to several vet who did not have scale that could weight juvenile chams. I walked out of a vets offices cause he did not a scale that read milligrams and said to me that looks like 25 millgrams. something i recomemd is talking to your credit card company about thier procedure for disputing charges regarding a service. I have desputed charges with a dog.
i personally thing either choice is a good choice.
good luck
