more ?? on toxic plants

as usual, i'm finding frustrating, conflicting information. http://home.att.net/~chameleons/safeplants.html
here they actually picture the plant i have ("lucky bamboo") as a "safe" one!
so i want to ask if any of use have had luck using these, i need to fill in some of the empty space in the new, bigger cage and already have a small jade and pothos in there, but they are not tall enough:
croton plant
japanese aralia
potted palm
umbrella/schefflera
