for what it's worth, a very learned herp expert told me when i had my young cham "sometimes they just die because it's tuesday". i have always dreaded tuesdays thanks to him. you do the lights, the moisture, the right cage, the gut-loaded insects, etc. but sometimes the babies just die. he told me to stick with 5-6 month olds and up as they are past the vulnerable months.

::Hey,

::I just went downstairs to mist and feed my chameleons, and I found my little 5 week old guy, Jango, hanging upside down by one leg, dead.
::He had good temps, foliage, plenty of food, good supplements; basically a fool-proof setup where nothing could go wrong.
::The odd thing is this: he had what looked like a bruise from one eye right across his nose to the other eye. I checked on him this morning when I turned his lights on and he was fine sleeping under a leaf, and I didn't mist him this morning so I don't think he could have suffocated.

::Has anyone seen this before? I'd like to find out the cause of death so I know what went wrong and how to prevent it in the future.
