He's been through a lot and may not be feeling all that well. Many chams get interested in flying insects such as moths and houseflies. If you can get maggots or "gentles" from a bait shop you can create flies yourself. But, if he had nutritional problems from his earlier poor care he may not try to shoot them, its worth trying. Hard to say. Green colored foods attract their attention often. You can dust insects with powdered green peas or health food algae, even drop green food coloring on them. Go ahead and keep him hydrated. You can get a bit of nutrition into him by adding Pedialyte or Ensure to his water.
