I think you need more natural plants and less spraying. I wouldn't doubt that you have lost some to drowning. The aquarium looks like one big petri dish with little ventilation available with high humidity. I used big plastic rubbermaid bins that had only 8 inch high sides that would allow much better airflow. Put in lots of sticks for basking spots. Here's my setup for 2 broods of Jacksons. Rick
