No I don't worry about the water in the vermiculite. The air is 100% humidity so it wouldn't matter if the vermiculite was soup or if it was dry.
The reason for so many thermometers (not thermostats) is that I have the opinion that an extra $20 is worth the safety of $2000 worth of eggs.
:Do you worry about how much water is mixed with the vermiculite when you have the eggs resting on those egg crates? Also, why do you have so many thermostat probes on the eggs? Nice snake and clutch BTW.
