Need HELP and info ASAP!!!

I need an answer on something. I might be getting cages made from pressbord (partical bord with laminate), can it be sealed with Envirotex epoxy? Oil-based poly? or would the laminate be sufficent (for ball pythons) if I siliconed a piece of glass to the bottom?
