I live in Arizona, and I'm having the "ultimate" mouse house built. Of course it is only partly for mice, it's also for snakes. When I first move my creatures into the mousehouse, it will be with the current racks/shelves/etc. But eventually, as the mice and snakes pay for themselves, I'm hoping to hire someone to come out and outfit the building with racks both for snakes and for mice. The building will be 12'x18', with air conditioning, two windows and a door. Concrete floor and two flourescent lights, plus a fan. But what I want to be able to make sure of is that I maximize my space, minimize my cost, and create the best "dream shop" imaginable. So I was wondering if anyone out there could give me pointers, ideas, and cost margins. I just need to figure out what to budget, and what I can afford. The mouse house will have a sink, a washing machine, and a shower in it, so it's not totally full scale mouse/snake room, but there is a lot of room to play with.
Thanks for any ideas. :)

PS I'm not going to do it myself, because I'm not handy with tools, and hubby is not inclined to indulge my hobbies THAT much! A $4000 building is the limit of his generosity. (quite enough thankyouverymuch)
